Meet our dogs
KASSIE KING DAVID ROXY WINTER ROSE

KASSIE came to us ten years ago. She was our very first Kuvasz and still, at her old age, plays an essential role on the farm. Kassie is fearless of any predator, often bringing home a skunk or raccoon and casually leaving it on the front lawn for all to see. Kassie has shown such a wonderful and gentle disposition that we had always wanted to breed her, hoping to keep one of her pups to continue working on the farm. This finally came true when a good friend of mine, Amber Kunz, bred her with a beautiful stud by the name of Odie. And the story began...
KING DAVID was born to Kassie in June of 2006. I remember it being the hottest night of the summer and poor Kassie had a terrible time with the heat and delivery. After all was said and done we chose King David (named because of his handsome good looks) to work the farm and be the father of our Kuvasz Kennel. David quickly learned all the tricks and tips of taking care of the property and the 100 cows and calves that live here. Instinctively he learned to push the cows off the fence when they got too close. He knew which side of the fence the calves belonged on and quickly let us know when one had wondered out of its safe zone. David also loves to hunt, and takes to the fields with his Mother in search of a prize to bring home. Coyotes are a totally different story. They won't come close with our dogs around and David does not stand for any nonsense from them. Obedience is Davids second name, and while these dogs are known for their very independant thinking, David always answers a call and comes running, no matter where on the farm he is. If there were a perfect dog, I would say David is it.
WINTER is a special girl. She came to us through Amber. We had bought her to breed with one of Ambers studs when she got old enough, but again the farm instinct has kicked in and she finds herself more comfortable wandering the farm and backing the cattle up with David. She has quickly learned who to trust and who not to. Winter is above submissive. She is eager to please us with everything she does, and has proven to be a perfect companion as well as farm dog. She knows her master. She knows her job, and I know she will make us proud when she brings new pups into the world. Watch for her puppies!
ROXY is still very young. We just got her at the beginning of March. Our goal is to have her breed with King David. Right now Roxy is a fiesty little thing, but then again she is a puppy. She has no problem running around the farm, and has fit in very nicely with the bigger, much larger then her, dogs around here. Roxy is not afraid of anything...especially cats. She loves to chase them around and sit on them. Of course her guarding instincts have not kicked in yet, but I am sure she will probably be an amazing guard dog. She has learned quickly to come when called, sit when told and get into her cage on command. Thats quite a bit for a 10 week old kuvasz puppy.
